Lighting up the globe
The spinning globe on our home page shows the ALS clinics (also known as MND clinics) mapped as of February 2026. We’ve mapped 481 ALS clinics worldwide in partnership with ALS Association, Veterans Health Administration, and International Alliance.
To see all mapped clinics, open ALS/MND Clinic Locator.
If a clinic is missing, add it using Add a Clinic (help light up the globe!)
In the U.S, 190 clinics have been reviewed by people living with ALS and their caregivers, which is 75% of U.S. clinics. We’re already seeing positive effects of the reviews, so we’re eager to get more people reviewing their clinics in the US.
Providing a complete and current central database of ALS clinics, medical directors, neurologists, and reviews is one of the main missions of the GeoALS platform.
This database is used to identify communities that are a 90-minute or more driving distance to the nearest ALS clinic. Also, it identifies the clinics that serve the most vulnerable communities. This information is used by organizations that serve the ALS community—it lets them know where to focus their services to support the most vulnerable people living with ALS and their caregivers.
While the advantages of an up-to-date clinic database may be obvious, it may not be as easy to recognize the many benefits of providing patient and caregiver clinic reviews alongside each clinic in the map. These reviews provide patient empowerment and help clinics and orgs identify clinic strengths and areas in need of improvement.
Reviews provide empowerment
The reviews, which you can see in the Advisor Dashboard part of the Clinic Locator, give people living with ALS and their caregivers a way to share their clinic experiences with others living with ALS and their caregivers. This information helps this community understand how clinics can support them and helps them maximize their time at their clinic.

Reviews help identify clinic strengths and areas of improvement
This same review information is provided to clinics and orgs in aggregate form to help identify clinic strengths and areas in need of improvement.
GeoALS’ last overall analysis (public) was presented in a poster at the 2023 International Alliance symposium, where we focused on the fact that clinic attendees reported that they assumed clinics were keeping them up-to-date on clinical trials and EAP offerings only to find out too late that their assumption was wrong.

Up-to-date overall findings and aggregate reports are available to clinics and orgs that request it, but our plan is to provide another overall summary of the survey results to the public this year.
What you can do
We’re so grateful for the support the ALS community has given us and would appreciate your continued support:
People living with ALS or caregivers: Take the survey and let others know about it. The more data, the better the data.
Clinics or orgs that supports clinics: Help people with ALS and their caregivers take the survey at clinic. Add clinics you don’t see in Clinic Locator.
Clinics: Request an aggregate survey results report by emailing a request to contact@geoals.org. Be sure to include your full name, your role at the clinic, and the clinic name in the request.
